Exterior
Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, the 2021 Chevy Equinox has automatic on/off halogen headlamps and a grille with active aero shutters integrated into its front fascia. Fixed to the front doors are heated power side mirrors. If you want to get larger, 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails for exterior cargo-carrying capacity, LED headlights and taillights (instead of halogen light bulbs) for longer-lasting and brighter illumination, and front fog lamps for penetrating lighting, go for the range-topping Premier.
Performance
Typically, the 2021 Chevy Equinox is powered by a turbocharged 170-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which has idle-stop technology to avoid unnecessary fuel consumption. Pinned to a six-speed automatic gearbox, the 1.5-liter turbo-four delivers a peak EPA-estimated fuel economy of 26/31 MPG city/hwy, which is excellent for life in the Lockport, NY area. If you go with the LS, LT, or Premier model, you can go for the available all-wheel drivetrain for better performance on slippery surfaces around Williamsville.
Interior
The new Equinox offers two rows of seats to accommodate up to five people around Elba, NY. Go with the LT if you need eight-way power on the driver's seat. The range-topping Premier, however, is the benchmark for Equinox luxury, with perforated leather seats, heating ability on the front seats, a memory positioning system for the driver's seat, and leather wrapping on the steering wheel.
